About Us
Our team at Department of Psychology, The Education University of Hong Kong, conducts a broad array of research on cognitive control and executive functions, including working memory, inhibitory control, cognitive flexibility, and emotional control. We employ a wide variety of cutting-edge neuroimaging and psychophysiological techniques, including functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), electroencephalography (EEG), pupillometry, and skin conductance to understand the neurobiological mechanisms of executive control and associated phenomena. We strive to leverage up-to-date psychological and neuroscientific knowledge to develop innovative paradigms for assessing and enhancing executive functions in healthy individuals and those with mental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder.
